We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Superintendent to lead and support our Yard and Operations teams through proactive issue resolution, technical advisory, and innovation in equipment maintenance and repair. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and long-term fleet planning through a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with HSEQ guidelines and Keller policies and procedures.
- Evaluate all production activities and prepare reports for all activities and inspect all associate plant machines and equipment.
- Recommend/implement plant training programs as per requirement in department.
- Collaborate with various departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant programs
- Perform regular audit/inspections on all maintenance programs.
- Prepare all short and long-term programs and ensure achievement of all objectives with required given budget in department.
- Prepare required reports for company machines activities when required.
- Prepare/monitor an efficient schedule for all plant operations and assist in organising maintenance plans towards the required machines and tools.
- Implement new products and recommend improvements to existing products, work sequences or processes.
- Design all preventive maintenance programs in coordination with plant/yard manager.
- Analyse/coordinate all equipment/tools requirements and assist in requisition from Operations.
- Review and recommend improvements of all SOP procedures & assist plant/yard manager to implement all changes.
- Monitor machines and inventories list in department.
- Assist on yardreports preparation, including work progress, cost savings.
- Plans and coordinates activities concerned with fabrication, modification onequipment/tools.
- Inspect new machines and equipment to ensure fulfilment of required specifications.
- Inspect quality of repair or fabrication prior delivery.
- Assist on administration of workshop, ensure all plant document and records are properlymaintained.
- Update to superior day-to-day activities, highlight any delay or technical issue happened.
- Provide administrative support to mechanics on repairing and servicing of machines.
- Involve in special projects as assigned by Line Manager.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent OR
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in construction, plant or equipment operations.
- Mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues swiftly.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance, repair, and fleet operations.
- Familiarity with maintenance systems preventive, corrective, predictive.
- Effective communication skills and collaborating effectively with various departments and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
