Design, review, and oversee marine and offshore mechanical systems including pumping systems, marine piping, rigging equipment, cranes, winches, and HVAC systems on offshore platforms.
Perform mechanical integrity assessments, condition monitoring, and failure analysis of marine equipment.
Collaborate with marine, structural, piping, and process engineers to ensure integrated design and operational reliability.
Review technical specifications, datasheets, vendor documentation, and ensure compliance with international marine and offshore standards.
Provide technical support for marine equipment procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations applicable to offshore marine operations.
Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, and develop mitigation measures related to marine mechanical systems.
Support offshore construction activities by providing engineering solutions to resolve issues and ensure quality and safety.
Document engineering activities, reports, inspection records, and maintenance procedures.
Liaise with project management, operations, and subcontractors for smooth marine mechanical execution.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of marine or offshore mechanical engineering experience with a focus on oil and gas projects.
Strong understanding of offshore marine mechanical systems and related equipment.
Experience with offshore standards such as API, DNV, ABS, IMO, and relevant health and safety regulations.
Proficient in engineering software for design and analysis (AutoCAD, PDMS, CAESAR II, or equivalent).
