Responsible for the upkeep, repair, and improvement of mechanical systems and equipment. This role ensures optimal functioning of machinery to minimize downtime and increase efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment (e.g., pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, HVAC, etc.).
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions promptly.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
Collaborate with production and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain maintenance records, reports, and logs in line with standard operating procedures.
Supervise and coordinate with maintenance technicians and contractors.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Recommend and implement continuous improvement measures to enhance equipment reliability and plant performance.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure analysis of critical and non-critical breakdowns.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with Procurement for ordering.
Assist in planning and executing plant shutdowns and overhauls.
Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering field.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in plant operations or engineering maintenance manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of plant utilities, equipment, and engineering systems.
Hands-on maintenance background with strong troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems.
Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams when required.
