Mechanical Engineer - Singapore Opportunity

Job Description

• Review the basic process design received from the Proposal/Sales team.
• Develop detailed process designs and P&IDs in accordance with project specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing.
• Review project specifications to ensure designs comply with customer requirements.
• Prepare engineering documentation, including equipment datasheets, valve lists, equipment lists, piping schedules, and instrument lists.
• Supervise and review complex skid-mounted 3D models to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Oversee the preparation of general arrangement (GA) drawings, piping detail drawings, and skid structural arrangement drawings.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation (EIA) engineers to prepare project deliverables.
• Source and obtain quotations from vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate technical and commercial submissions from vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Review engineering deliverables from vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors for technical compliance.
• Participate in internal and external design review meetings.
• Prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
• Provide engineering support during testing, commissioning, and project handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in industrial water and wastewater treatment.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas (O&G) industry is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in designing complex skid-mounted industrial water treatment systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet project deadlines.
• Good understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to travel for project and site requirements.
