Key Responsibilities
- Review marine and process engineering drawings in view of testing requirement
- Prepare and write out commissioning test procedures
- Communicate and discuss with equipment vendors for technical issues
- Lead testing activities and guide site team to perform test as per the procedures
- Ensure all sections work towards the targeted commissioning schedule.
- Proficient with the testing procedures and applicable rules and regulations of regulatory bodies.
- Decide in consultation with Shipyard Manager / Commissioning Manager on the manpower requirements.
- Arrange facilities and instruments for the job.
- Take necessary precautions to ensure the work site is safe for testing / commissioning.
- Provide supervision and deploy manpower to perform the operational tasks.
- Familiar with test memos and manuals.
- Ensure incoming equipment meet the purchase specifications.
- Schedule Service Engineers requirements and inform them of the test dates as well as to take charge and monitor their works until completion.
- Coordinate for any required joint inspections.
- Arrange for protection and maintenance of equipment and system.
- Allocate the systems to be tested to the various supervisors and sections involved in the operation.
- Review the commissioning work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate the testing / commissioning requirements with Engineering, Estimating & Analysis, Project Manager and Quality Assurance departments.
- Coordinate with all sections for testing requirements.
- Liaise with owners, class surveyors and government bodies pertaining to project requirements.
- Manage the career development and training of staff.
- Plan and schedule the testing and commissioning requirements on project basis.
- Plan and organize all logistics requirement for major operations.
- Ensure timely completion of project.
- Ensure all commissioning test procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Any other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Work Experience
QUALIFICATION (S):
- Degree / Diploma in Naval Architecture / Civil / Marine & Offshore / Mechanical
Competencies
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in FPSO/ FLNG conversion projects.
