Responsibilities:
- Design and specify marine piping systems (bilge, ballast, fuel, cooling, fire protection) and select components.
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring designs meet all functional and regulatory requirements.
- Review and interpret technical specifications, equipment standards, and classification society rules for mechanical systems.
- Develop equipment layouts, installation plans, and schematic drawings in coordination with designers and vendors.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on 3D ship modeling, performing clash detection, and generating material take-offs (MTO) for production.
- Conduct mechanical interface reviews for major components like main engines and propulsion systems.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a shipyard or marine/offshore engineeringenvironment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and discuss project details effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD experience with 3D modeling software is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of marine equipment and piping systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
