Mechanical Engineer (Piping)

Roles & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate machinery and equipment specs to ensure they meet technical and class requirements.
• Skilled in installation requirements for engines, hydraulics, HVAC.
• Knowledgeable in marine piping systems, pumps, compressors, valves.
• Collaborate with designers and vendors on piping schematics, machinery layouts, and installation plans.
• Review mechanical interfaces for main engines, gearboxes, and shafting.
• Support 3D ship model development and prepare MTOs for piping and fabrication.

Requirements:

• Background in Marine Engineering
• Relevant shipyard experience
• Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes and technical specifications
• Willing to travel to Batam or overseas for technical meetings when required
