What The Role Is
You will review and plan Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering systems for the range of JTC's portfolio of industrial properties. These include new and existing business parks, industrial estates and buildings. You will be involved in and shall manage enhancements, refurbishments and replacements projects of M&E systems such as Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), Lift and Escalators, Fire Protection Systems, Electrical, ELV, etc. You will be performing design reviews of submissions by consultants and contractors with the Facilities Management team during the design and construction stages of R&R projects, providing input on operation needs and maintainability.
What You Will Be Working On
As an Engineer, you will work with building consultants for new buildings projects and retrofitting of existing JTC buildings and facilities. You will also liaise with external parties, including government agencies for matters relating to the industrial development to ensure compliance to the relevant Authorities requirements.
You will seek to improve planning and operation of M&E systems to ensure ease of future maintenance and ground operations in JTC facilities. You will plan and conceptualise new and advanced engineering related technologies in areas related to energy and water conservation for implementation in our building facilities. You will conduct review of testing processes, procedures and performance measurements of JTC's M&E systems to propose fine-tuning and improvements for cost and energy efficiency in operations. You will also contribute to drafting the technical specifications for calling of tenders of new and retrofitting projects.
What We Are Looking For
Background in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent. Those with at least 2 years experience as building consultants in design and construction supervision might have an advantage. You should be familiar with M&E systems, local codes and FM operational practices.
