Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our automotive workshop team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain various vehicle mechanical systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle mechanical systems to identify faults and determine repair needs
- Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, braking systems, and suspension components to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot vehicle faults accurately and efficiently
- Perform servicing tasks including belt replacement, engine repairs, and general maintenance to uphold vehicle safety and reliability
- Complete all work following established safety and quality standards to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction
- Document repairs and services performed accurately to maintain clear service records
- Support workshop operations by assisting in process improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant automotive experience
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
- Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Team player with a positive working attitude
