Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical M&E Energy Engineer to join our dynamic ESCO team in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying energy-saving opportunities, designing efficiency solutions, and supporting the implementation of Energy Performance Contract (EPC) projects. This role combines traditional Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering with energy management and sustainability practices to help clients improve operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and achieve regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Energy Auditing & Assessment: Conduct comprehensive energy audits of commercial and industrial buildings, specifically focusing on ACMV/HVAC systems, chiller plants, and electrical distribution systems.
  • System Design & Optimization: Review, design, and optimize M&E systems, developing energy-efficient schematics, chiller staging strategies, and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) configurations.
  • Testing & Commissioning (T&C): Oversee the installation, testing, verification, and commissioning of data loggers, power meters, and energy-efficient retrofit systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project designs and energy baselines comply with Singapore's Building and Construction Authority (BCA) legislation, Energy Market Authority (EMA) regulations, and Green Mark requirements.
  • Data Analysis & Modeling: Analyze operational log data and baseline energy consumption using data analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel regression modeling) to evaluate system performance and quantify energy savings.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare formal energy audit reports, Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans, risk assessments, method statements, and guaranteed savings reports for submission to clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal project management, service, and sales teams, as well as external vendors, to drive project delivery from feasibility studies through project completion.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering qualification, with at least 2 years of relevant experience and Singapore local working experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design software.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered as a Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) is an added advantage but not mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with BCA Periodic Energy Audits, MEES reports, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Experience working with instrumentation such as ultrasonic flow meters, temperature sensors, and power meters.
