Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise M&E activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance in construction projects. Manage schedules, resolve technical clashes, and support testing and statutory adherence for timely project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and review M&E shop drawings, spatial layouts, and structural penetrations to identify and resolve service clashes before site installation
- Supervise M&E subcontractors to ensure workmanship meets approved specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Track M&E installation progress and report delays or critical path issues to the Project Manager to maintain project timelines
- Participate in and document M&E testing and commissioning procedures with consultants and regulatory authorities
- Assist in ensuring all M&E installations comply with Singapore building regulations, Fire Safety Act (SCDF), and relevant statutory requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree, Diploma, Professional Certificate, or equivalent in Building Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- Experience in M&E coordination, engineering, or site supervision within the Singapore construction market
- Familiarity with M&E drafting tools and coordination software such as AutoCAD and BIM/Revit
- Understanding of local M&E codes of practice, standard installation methods, and safety procedures
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to resolving multi-disciplinary technical challenges
