Job Description

Consulting with engineers and other professionals to understand the functionality and structure of mechanical devices or systems
Preparing detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, using measurements, specifications, and other data from engineers
Using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software to create technical drawings and models
Adding structural details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques
Specifying dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products
Working with manufacturers and builders to ensure technical designs are feasible and can be implemented correctly
