Mechanical Design Engineer
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will transform concepts into precision solutions ranging from automation machinery to customised jigs and fixtures, enhancing production efficiency and product quality. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to ensure designs meet both functional and innovative objectives.

- Salary: SGD 2,500 - SGD 3,500/month (based on experience)

Responsibilities
- Develop detailed schematic layouts and manufacturing drawings for automation systems, jigs, and fixtures using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks to support production and assembly processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and clients to align design outputs with technical specifications and project objectives, ensuring feasibility and quality standards
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying design enhancements that increase product quality, operational efficiency, and workflow effectiveness
- Apply problem-solving skills to resolve design challenges and optimize mechanical components for manufacturability and performance
- Communicate design concepts and technical information clearly to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and project progress
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience of approximately 1 year in automation machinery or jig/fixture design, or entry-level candidates with strong portfolios demonstrating relevant skills (training provided)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for mechanical design and drafting
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated through collaboration with teams and clients
- Proactive and collaborative mindset to contribute positively to team dynamics and project outcomes
- Educational background in engineering disciplines such as NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or Degree
