Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Engineer (North/East)

• Location: North - Automotive System East - Semiconductor Equipment East - Freezer Equipment

• Role: Mechanical Engineer x 3 (location listed as above)

• 5 days / week

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies based on project requirements

• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, etc.)

• Perform engineering calculations and support design validation activities

• Participate in prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and project management

• Support continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety, and manufacturability requirements

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

• Experience in mechanical design, preferably in automotive, machinery, or manufacturing industry

• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks / AutoCAD or equivalent)

• Knowledge in materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical principles

• Familiar with FEA / simulation tools is an advantage

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Good communication and teamwork abilities
