Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduledmaintenance on the company's fleet, diesel generators, forklifts, and othermachinery.
• Ensure the Locomotive,Wagons and RRV fleet is maintained to the highest standards in terms ofappearance, functionality, and operation.
• Plan and maintain aservicing and inspection calendar in line with fleet procedures, recording andreporting progress accordingly.
• Carry out safety-criticaltasks for which you are trained and certified as competent.
• Maintain cleanliness andorderliness of workshop facilities, including the parts store and office.
• Liaise with the project sitemanager and HQ regarding servicing, repairs, faults, and spare parts to ensureavailability for scheduled work.
• Conduct on-site andfollow-up repairs to machinery.
• Assist specialist fitterswith complex machine repairs.
• Inspect and check machinesdaily following night shift operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in railway equipmentmaintenance, with strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and electricalcomponents.
• Qualified mechanic and fitter certification.
• Familiarity with operating, maintenance, and fittingstandards and specifications.
• Willingness to perform weekend and shift duties.
