Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to secondary-level students in individual and small-group/class settings.
- Deliver lessons for AEIS, Secondary Mathematics and GCE O-Level preparation programmes.
- Teach Elementary Mathematics and, where qualified, Additional Mathematics.
- Prepare and conduct lessons according to the Academy's curriculum and Scheme of Work.
- Prepare lesson materials, exercises, revision worksheets and assessments where required.
- Mark students assignments, tests and examination papers and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify students academic weaknesses and recommend appropriate intervention or revision.
- Monitor and document students academic progress.
- Prepare students for timed examinations and develop appropriate examination techniques.
- Maintain appropriate classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Participate in academic discussions, curriculum planning and teacher meetings where required.
- Work with the academic and administrative team on student progress and academic matters.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Education or another relevant quantitative discipline.
- Strong command of Mathematics at Singapore secondary level.
- Familiarity with the Singapore Mathematics syllabus is preferred.
- Experience teaching AEIS, GCE O-Level, secondary school Mathematics or tuition classes is an advantage.
- Ability to teach Additional Mathematics is an advantage.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Patient, responsible and comfortable working with students from different academic backgrounds.

We value teachers who can do more than demonstrate solutions. The ideal candidate should be able to identify why a student is struggling, explain concepts using different approaches and progressively build the student's confidence and examination performance.
Candidates with experience in AEIS preparation, O-Level Mathematics, Additional Mathematics or Singapore secondary education are particularly encouraged to apply.
