The Maths Lab is a dynamic Singapore SME and one of the largest Maths Tuition Centres with multiple branches islandwide. We have a fun, enthusiastic team of math nerds. We offer both centre-based and home tuition for Primary and Secondary students.
(2) Job Summary
We are hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Maths Tutors to teach both 1-1 home tuition and classes at our centres. Join us to deliver quality Maths education with competitive remuneration and benefits.
(3) Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons to Primary 1-6 and Secondary 1-4 students at centre-based classes
- Conduct 1-1 home tuition sessions by travelling to students residences nearby as assigned.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
- Communicate with parents to give progress reports every month.
- You may be collaborating with other teachers to conduct math bootcamps
- If you need help with a topic/level, you will receive coaching support from our other teachers
- Manage classroom discipline and monitor student progress regularly
- Working hours are Weekdays 3-7pm and some weekends. 1-2 off days a week.
(4) What we look for
- You must be familiar with the Singapore Maths curriculum
- At least 1-2 years of private tutoring or math teaching experience preferred
- Enjoy working with younger children and fostering their academic growth
- Degree or Diploma in any major preferred
- For part-time roles: ability to commit at least 6 hours per week (3-lessons)
- You must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore P.R.
(5) Other Information
Working Hours
- Full-Time Role: 5 or 6 days per week with 1-2 days off
- Weekdays: 3pm to 7pm
- Weekends: 9:30am to 6pm
- Additional time required outside scheduled hours for lesson preparation

- Home tuition assignments will be arranged as conveniently as we can (eg. same MRT line)
Salary & Benefits
- Full-Time Gross Salary: $4,500 - $7,500, based on hours and student load
- Employer CPF contributions included
- Probation period of 2 months with fixed gross hourly salary of $40-$60/hr
