Job Description
At Ichor, procurement and material delivery is at the heart of what we do. As a Material Program Manager, you will actively participate in understanding customers requirements and passionately drive internal procurement processes and the global supply chain to exceed internal and external customer expectations. This role will drive strategic initiatives to improve overall efficiency and profitability of Ichor Systems.
Responsibilities
- For assigned products and programs, execute supply chain strategies that support on-time delivery, reduce supply risk, control costs, and optimize working capital.
- Establish and maintain clear visibility between material constraints and build plans, proactively identifying risks and driving mitigation actions.
- Lead material shortage management by defining structured problem statements, engaging suppliers, and owning resolution and recovery plans.
- Oversee demand volatility buffer programs, DDMRP (Kanban and safety stock) strategies, and risk-buy initiatives to ensure supply continuity and stability.
- Maintain accurate ERP configuration, including Item Master (Make vs Buy), purchasing source records, and BOM integrity, to ensure effective MRP/DDMRP execution.
- Troubleshoot planning and supply misalignments, including demand fluctuations, ECO implementation, data inaccuracies, and external supply constraints, driving root cause and corrective action.
- Represent material availability and shortages in production and cross-functional meetings, ensuring alignment across operations, planning, and procurement teams.
- Provide customer-facing updates and coordinate on critical parts and supply continuity initiatives when required.
- Support departmental performance through metrics monitoring, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional supply chain projects.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering preferred
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience, preferably in more than one operational discipline
- Experience working in ERP & PLM systems; Oracle, SAP and Agile preferred
- Ability to learn / understand the supplier's business and manufacturing processes, technology sourced, and product families
- Ability to concisely communicate escalations, requirements and issues to suppliers, stakeholders, peers, upper management and customers with clarity
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, hands-on and results driven.
- Ability to influence cross functional teams including technical decision makers
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis and negotiation.
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment
