Job Summary
Responsible for managing daily requisition of raw materials and consumables, movement of parts within the department, and preparation of finished parts for transfer. This role also includes inventory cycle counts, variance investigation, and system updates, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Request, receive, and issue raw materials such as ink, cartons, webs, needles, cannula, and labels according to production schedules to maintain workflow
- Transfer scrap parts to designated warehouse areas and prepare finished parts for transfer to ensure accurate inventory movement
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work areas to support a safe and organized environment
- Monitor and ensure continuous supply of component parts to production machines to prevent downtime
- Prepare silicon or silicon intermediates for assembly machines to support production processes
- Verify that raw materials used on production lines are correct and approved, and reconcile physical inventory with system records to maintain accuracy
- Conduct inventory cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and update inventory systems upon approval to ensure data integrity
- Manage label control by monitoring usage, handling scrap, and updating records to maintain compliance and traceability
- Return excess raw materials to the warehouse and monitor safety stock levels, raising purchase requisitions when necessary to maintain inventory balance
- Participate actively in team meetings, performance reviews, and improvement projects to contribute to operational excellence
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards, including ISO 14001, to maintain a safe workplace
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support department goals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in inventory management and preventive maintenance to support operational efficiency
- Familiarity with SAP and MES systems to facilitate accurate inventory and production tracking
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) to communicate effectively within the team
- Basic computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office to manage documentation and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to investigate inventory variances and improve processes
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail to coordinate tasks and maintain accuracy
