- Client Consultation:
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their hair and scalp condition.
- Discuss clients needs, preferences, and desired outcomes for hair treatments.
- Provide expert recommendations and educate clients on available hair therapy options.
- Hair and Scalp Treatments:
- Perform a variety of hair and scalp treatments, including deep conditioning, hot oil treatments, and hair masks.
- Administer specialized treatments for dandruff, dryness, oily scalp, and hair loss, as appropriate.
- Apply colour treatments, such as henna or glosses, to enhance hair appearance and condition.
- Massage and Relaxation Techniques:
- Offer scalp massages as part of hair treatments to promote relaxation and improve blood circulation.
- Utilize massage techniques to relieve tension and stress, enhancing the overall client experience.
- Hair Analysis:
- Analyse hair texture, thickness, and overall health to tailor treatments to individual client needs.
- Assess scalp conditions and make recommendations for ongoing care and maintenance.
- Product Knowledge and Sales:
- Stay informed about hair care products and treatments available in the salon.
- Educate clients on suitable at-home hair care routines and products for maintaining treatment results.
- Assist with product sales and recommend appropriate products for clients.
- Sanitation and Hygiene:
- Adhere to strict sanitation and hygiene protocols to ensure the cleanliness and safety of equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Sterilize and maintain tools used for hair and scalp treatments.
- Client Relations:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Address client concerns and questions with professionalism and empathy.
- Ensure clients comfort and satisfaction throughout their salon visit.
- Documentation and Records:
- Keep accurate records of client consultations, treatment plans, and product recommendations.
- Maintain client records for future reference and follow-up.
- Professional Development:
- Stay updated on the latest hair therapy techniques, trends, and product advancements.
- Attend training and workshops to improve skills and knowledge.
- Others:
- Any other duties / works as assigned by your reporting superiors.
Qualifications
- State cosmetology or beauty therapy license (required).
- Previous experience as a Hair Salon Therapist is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hair types, textures, and scalp conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in using salon equipment and products.
- Attention to detail and a passion for promoting hair health.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform treatments.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace.
- Understanding of safety and sanitation protocols in a salon setting.
