Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst with strong functional expertise in supply chain and manufacturing, ideally within the metals or materials domain. This role will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements that support system transformation and process optimisation initiatives.
You will work closely with business users, solution architects, and delivery teams to ensure requirements are well understood, documented, and aligned with end-to-end business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements across supply chain and manufacturing processes.
- Develop clear functional specifications, user stories, and business requirement documents (BRDs).
- Perform process mapping, current-state and future-state (as-is / to-be) analysis, and gap analysis.
- Support initiatives related to master data domains, including materials, vendors, bills of materials (BOMs), routes, and related reference data.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams (developers, data engineers, solution architects) to ensure requirements are feasible and accurately implemented.
- Participate in solution design discussions, validating that proposed solutions meet business needs.
- Support UAT planning and execution, including test scenario creation, defect triage, and business sign-off.
- Assist in change management by supporting business users through process changes and system adoption.
- Ensure requirements and documentation align with organisational standards, governance, and best practices.
- Act as a trusted liaison between business and IT, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar functional role.
- Strong functional understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes, ideally within the metals or materials domain.
- Proven experience in:
- Business requirements gathering and documentation
- Process mapping and gap analysis
- Familiarity with master data domains, including materials, vendors, BOMs, routes, and related structures.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with both business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional, project-based environments.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience working on SAP programs (e.g. ECC, S/4HANA, MM, PP, SD).
- Exposure to supply chain or manufacturing transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or data-related projects.
- Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
