MASTER CARPENTER

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to plan and execute carpentry work
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other materials with precision
• Lead and supervise junior carpenters and apprentices on-site
• Oversee construction, installation, and repair of structures such as frameworks, cabinetry, furniture, doors, and fixtures
• Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other trades
• Inspect completed work and perform adjustments or repairs as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
• Estimate material requirements and assist with project costing

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter, with several years in a senior or master-level role
• Advanced knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments
• Familiarity with safety standards and building regulations
• Relevant certifications or vocational training preferred
