General Job Position Overview
As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind WeTV's growth in Southeast Asia and new emerging markets. You will lead the overall marketing strategy for C-Drama content, ranging from macro market entry planning to local campaign execution, utilizing innovative marketing methods to enhance WeTV's brand influence and user engagement.
Responsibilities
- Formulate the overall marketing strategies for C-Dramas across Southeast Asia and new global markets. Develop standardized promotion models based on in-depth market research and user insights, while ensuring effective local adaptations.
- Lead the creative marketing proposals for core titles, including but not limited to trailer localization, social media buzz marketing, short-video strategies, and high-impact visual creative planning.
- Oversee and coordinate offline marketing activities across the Southeast Asian region (such as press conferences, fan meetings, and cross-brand collaborations), efficiently managing local agencies and partners.
- Maintain high sensitivity to data. Analyze performance metrics such as conversion rates, user retention, and viewing behavior to continuously review and optimize marketing plans, ensuring the efficient use of marketing budgets.
- Coordinate with content and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns and maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints.
Requirements
- 6-8+ years of experience in marketing. Background in OTT/Streaming platforms, internet entertainment, or renowned advertising agencies is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success with significant brand marketing or content promotion cases, showcasing strong strategic execution in complex market environments.
- Language Proficiency: Chinese and English
- Exceptional logical thinking and communication skills. Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from analytics.
- A heavy consumer and enthusiast of C-Dramas and pan-entertainment content. You must have a profound understanding of current Chinese film/TV trends, artist dynamics, and audience preferences.
