As a Marketing Designer (Intern), you will join a creative, dynamic, and purpose-driven team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in graphic design, digital content creation, branding, and integrated marketing communications.
You will work closely with the Gateway Arts team toconceptualise, design, and produce effective marketing and communication materials for ourprogrammes, including workshops, community initiatives, and theatre productions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the development of engaging content to drive website traffic, social media growth, and audience engagement.
- Collaborate across departments to ideate and create digital marketing assets, including:campaign visuals, social media graphics, infographics, short-form videos, other digital assets
- Assistin developing campaign concepts and translating them into compelling key visuals.
- Experiment with formats, placements, and creative styles to optimise performance.
- Contribute to strengthening Gateway Arts visual identity across platforms.
- Develop design templates to ensure consistent brand application.
- Produce visually compelling and brand-aligned marketing materials across print and digital platforms.
- Support company programmes and initiatives, including Gateway Kids Club and theatre productions.
- Assistin the execution and on-site support of theatre productions and events.
- Capture photographs and videos for marketing, archival, and social media purposes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Reporting Supervisor.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Design, Visual Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Proficiencyin Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
- Familiarity with video editing and motion graphics tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects) is an advantage.
- Strong designaesthetics with keen attention to detail and understanding of user experience principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to feedback.
- Experience in marketing campaign development (ideation to execution) will be a bonus.
- Flexible with working days and hours, including availability on weekends, eves of Public Holidays, and Public Holidays whenrequired.
