Based in Singapore, we are seeking a Market and Trading Analyst to provide analytical and commercial support to LNG trading and marketing, Liquids,Shipping and new energy transactions. In addition, this role is to support bespoke marketing business led project opportunities which include but may not be limited to access to new markets, LNG Tanks utilization and LNG import terminal assessments.

Key accountabilities include:

.Monitor and analyse global LNG supply and demand fundamentals, including liquefaction operations, storage levels, and macroeconomic drivers to identify arbitrage opportunities and recommend profitable trading strategies.

.Build, maintain, and optimise complex models to forecast spot and contract price curves and regional spreads.

.Provide regular briefings and real-time analytical support to the trading desk and marketing teams.

. Support economic decisions on pricing and contract negotiations through application of economic modelling and value-based analysis.

.Provide cross-functional support acrosstrading, origination, operations, liquids and corporate functions to deliver integrated results for the company

. Apply thinking in area of expertise -delivering analysis and recommendations and working as directed and in alignment with the company's strategy

. Support strategic decision making in marketing and trading lead new market activities such as entering new markets or storage utilisation
. Support development and implantation of Marketing & Trading digital solutions.
. Provide support on commercial matters and represent Santos with customers and joint venture partners

. Contribute to delivering on cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies

What You'll Bring
To stand out in this role, we are looking for professionals with ability to work on multiple tasks within challenging timeframes and has the following essential experience:

. Previous relevant experience in an analytical, commercial, or trading support role within the energy sector.

. Previous experience in LNG and or liquids sector including knowledge of global LNG markets, pricing mechanisms and contract structures
. Proven economic modelling skills and experience preparing and presenting material to senior managers

.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.

. Be receptive to change, open to challenge and exhibit an owner's mindset

Ideally, you have tertiary qualifications in a numerate discipline such as engineering, economics, finance, or commerce and/or relevant work/industry experience
