About the Role:

As the the Marketing & Communications Lead, you will be responsible for providing communications and stakeholder relationship support to the Divisional President, Divisional Council, Singapore Country Head and member groups within the Singapore Division and our members in the Philippines. S/he will be responsible for marketing of continuing professional development programs to members and stakeholders, managing regular member communications including speech writing and annual report contributions, managing local/international media and media strategy and management, supporting the management of local external/government relations, and enhancing the brand and visibility of CPA Australia in the local market.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deploy interventions (media campaigns, content partnership etc) to increase awareness to current and prospective members on the CPA Australia offering.
  • Develop and manage a budget for such campaigns in Singapore, as well as the overall marketing & communication function
  • Produce regular EDMs, social media posts and other marketing collaterals to publicise professional development and member engagement activities to members and stakeholders
  • Oversee and support Singapore media strategy, working with the Country Head and relevant stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach.
  • Draft, distribute, and manage press releases to ensure accurate, timely communication with targeted media outlets.
  • Monitor media coverage and share with the Division and Country Head on CPA Australia, competitors and industry issues.
  • Provide timely, relevant and newsworthy stories to be disseminated to the media, promoting CPA Australia events or opinions featuring comments from Divisional spokespeople and appropriate thought leaders
  • Contribute to enhancing CPA Australia's brand and visibility through relevant projects that profile the global nature of our organisation and its thought leadership.
  • Support the Division's key events by contributing to design, coordination, execution, and campaign activities as required.
  • Work with the Division to ensure that all marketing, event and media collateral comply with CPA Australia's brand guidelines.
  • Support the Country Head to oversee the production and management of strategic projects identified by the annual Member Engagement Plan to extend CPA Australia's brand, visibility and thought leadership.

About You:

  • Minimum eight years experience in marketing/communications role
  • Demonstrated experience in provision of strategic communications advice and management at senior level
  • Excellent media management and marketing/communication skills with relevant issue management experience
  • Ability to think strategically, work independently and in a team under pressure
  • Strong project management skills and speech-writing skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications/marketing or journalism desirable
  • Ability to recognise opportunities to profile CPA Australia and negotiate positive outcomes for CPA Australia
