Summary:
Heraeus, the technology group headquartered in Hanau, Germany, is a leading international family-owned portfolio company. Heraeus Electronics is expanding its semiconductor business line. We invite experienced professionals with keen eyes for new technologies to develop and deploy market strategies to join us in this position. The Market Segment Analysis Specialist will work closely with our Innovation and Business Development teams to bring unique technology and sustainable materials solutions to our customers in the semiconductor. You will be responsible for 2 or more industry segments with global coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis within the semiconductor materials ecosystem
- Evaluate emerging technologies, startups, and innovation trends for M&A or product expansion
- Develop and maintain data pipelines integrating internal and external datasets
- Analyze large-scale datasets to generate actionable business insights
- Support strategic planning with data-driven recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams (R&D, business units, strategy)
- Monitor industry developments, including technology and materials innovation, customer trends and value chains
Your Profile
- Background in Engineering, Economics, Management, Data Science, Mathematics or a closely related field
- Experience working with econometrics, large-scale data and data integration
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL (or comparable tools)
- Demonstrated interest in the semiconductor industry and/or materials science
- Experience with machine learning methods is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an international environment
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights
