Position Overview
We are looking for a results-driven and experienced Market Development Manager to lead regional growth initiatives, strengthen distributor networks, and expand market presence across Southeast Asia. This role requires strong commercial insight, in-depth regional expertise, and a solid background in the medical devices or healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement business development strategies across ASEAN markets
- Identify, evaluate, and appoint distributors, strategic partners, and key clients
- Build, manage, and enhance distributor relationships to meet and exceed sales objectives
- Conduct market research to uncover new opportunities and monitor competitive dynamics
- Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and technical teams to support effective product positioning
- Assist with product launches, training initiatives, and regional marketing activities
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client engagements
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
- 8–12+ years of experience in business development or sales within medical devices, healthcare, or aesthetics industries
- Hands-on experience with minimally invasive surgical technologies, such as laser and endoscopic equipment
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple ASEAN markets (e.g., Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines)
- Established network with distributors, hospitals, clinics, or aesthetic centres is advantageous
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities
- Willingness to travel frequently across the ASEAN region
- Fluency in English is essential; additional regional language skills are beneficial
