Maritime IT Service Technician

Captain's Eye Asia is currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Maritime IT Service Technician.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a young and innovative environment, combining technical expertise with hands-on experience onboard vessels calling Singapore utilising our cutting edge AI technology.

Candidates with no experience or fresh graduates are welcome, full onboarding and training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct installation, crew training, and testing of Captain's Eye systems onboard vessels calling Singapore.

- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions to ensure optimal functionality of the Captain's Eye systems.

- Collaborate with the engineering team to continuously improve the performance and reliability of the systems.

- ‎Configure and test systems in house prior to deployment, including servers, PCs, switches, routers, AP, server rack

- Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.

- Demonstrate self-learning capabilities.

- Think outside the box to address challenges and adapt to changing requirements.

Requirements:

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with vessel crews and engineering teams.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

- ‎Strong computer skills

- Familiarity with AWS and Linux operating systems is a bonus.

- Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels as needed. Physical fitness is considered.
