. Responsibilities
1. Monitor the vessel movements daily.
2. Supervise operations and monitor vessel condition and ship's staff compliance with management policies, international, state or local Maritime regulations.
3. Responsible for all technical and operational related issues, including correspondence. You will be directly responsible for ensuring all procedures are adhered to and comply with International safety management (ISM), classification society rules, and Maritime insurance.
4. Supervise vessels from an engineering aspect but you will be mainly office based.
5. Carry out security assessments as required by DPA/CSO.
6. Issue necessary QHSE Alerts and Bulletins to ships.
7. Analyse reports, such as SIRE/CDI, Flag state, PSC, External audits and other such reports.
8. Initiate necessary action for timely closure as per advice of Marine/Safety Director.
9. Implement training agenda and training for officers and crew.
10. Review and respond to safety and other reports received from the vessel.
