Marine Superintendent (Oil/Bunker Tanker)

Our client is a reputable Shipping MNC. In view of expansion, they are currently seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as Marine Superintendent (Tanker).
In this role, your overall responsibilities will include :

• Manage & promote the vessels health, safety and environment compliance
• Ensuring that the vessels are able to perform their voyages and operations
• Arrange and manage audits and inspections required by the recognized organization - ISM, ISPS and MLC
• Arrange and manage vetting inspections, including submissions onto the OCMIF SIRE online platform
• Oversee the vessels navigational matters, including approval of passage plans and conduct of navigation audits
• Ensure compliance with terminal, operators, oil majors and charterers requirements
• Liaise with and manage matters in relation to Flag State and Port State
• Ensure that Q88 and HVPQ are updated at all times
• Advise on changes to regulations, requirements and industry best practices
• Monitor, review and update the company's SMS
• Provide vessels with guidance and information regarding the above
• Provide support, training and enforcement in respect of crew competency and discipline

Requirements:

• COC Class 1 with tanker sailing experience
• At least 2 years served onboard tanker including minimum 12 months served at a management level (command experience preferred)
• At least 1-year shore based experience in a ship management company
• Supervisory experience ashore in tanker companies will be advantageous
• Possess good oral and written communication skills
• Analytical, able to work independently and result-oriented
