Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent to join a reputable shipping company. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and efficient vessel operations, compliance with international regulations, and high standards of marine performance across the managed fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily vessel operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with ISM/ISPS and industry regulations.
- Conduct vessel inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Provide guidance and support to shipboard staff on marine and operational matters.
- Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in safety and operational standards.
Requirements:
- Sailing experience as Master Mariner (preferably on tankers, bulk carriers or container)
- Prior shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and vetting processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
