Position objective and summary
Responsible for developing, executing sales and marketing strategies to build a strong customer base, achieve sales targets, and ensure customer satisfaction and positive customer experience.
Main tasks / activities / responsibilities
. Develop and maintain relationships with marine and shipyard customers.
. Handle customer inquiries, RFQs, quotations, and follow-up sales.
. Promote marine services and products to clients.
. Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure smooth job execution.
. Prepare sales reports, documentation, and update customer records.
. Monitor project progress and ensure customer satisfaction.
. Source materials and coordinate with suppliers when required.
. Support business development and identify new sales opportunities.
. Support the undertaking of Ship parts/Ship repair projects with the Operations team to ensure timely implementation, completion, and delivery of projects.
. Monitor and analyse market situation/trend and provide sales forecast to the Top Management and HOD
. Monitor and analyse business performance, industry trends, existing or new regulatory and their impact on business operations and provide regular updates to the Top Management and HOD.
. Plan, organize and execute activities to generate customers awareness and improves sales demand.
. Conduct Customer Satisfaction Survey to collect and analyze customers feedback for review, propose and implement suggestions for continuous improvement.
. Proactively utilize both old and new contacts to explore business opportunities and expand market share.
. Play a key role in providing expertise/know-how in market & customers to the Operations teams to maximize productivity and efficiency.
. Prepare and submit of sales & marketing reports in a timely manner for management review.
. Ad hoc assignment or project assigned by the HOD or the Company.
Job requirements (education, linguistic ability, professional experience, leadership qualities, soft skills etc.)
. Relevant Tertiary qualification with at least 2-5 years sales & marketing experiences in Marine and Offshore, Waste Treatement Industry with proven sales track record.
. 5.5 working days per week
. Possesses good customer relation management skills with attention to service.
. Effectively bilingual to attend to a wide range of client.
. Excellent people, communication and presentation skills.
. Good time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
. Good report writing skills to prepare and present findings to management / clients.
. Good analytical skills and problem solving skills, coupled with a hands-on approach.
. Proactive and able to adapt quickly to the changing environment.
. Highly self-motivated with ability to work under extreme pressure.
. Team player who is dynamic, self-motivated and results-oriented.
