Core Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Start and lead the projects focusing on engineering scope.
Prepare and develop engineering documents and drawings.
Prepare Bill of Quantities
Coordinate w/ client and internal departments.
Provide technical coaching or support for Designers.
Provide input to the research and development of new products and methodology.
Assist the Associate Manager in the presentation of engineering proposals.
Acts as the document controller of the Project
Consolidate document/drawings for transmission.
Prepare the transmittal form for submission.
Make hardcopies set for distribution to Project Manager, if required
Generate and maintain the master list as per latest drawings/document revision
Maintain design and engineering e-filing on the server.
Hardcopy filling and scanning, if any.
Handle and receive incoming documents, drawing and transmittals, if any.
Maintain company library records of International Codes and Standard, ensure that latest edition is being recorded.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Marine & Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Engineer in the marine industry (fit-out sector preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Ship 3D generating software will be a plus.
Strong understanding of marine industry materials, installations, and fit-out processes.
Experience in fire load and weight computations.
Knowledge of marine engineering standards and regulations.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
