Managing Key Relationships
- Work with important partners like FSRU owners, bunker vessel operators, port authorities, and others to ensure everyone is on the same page.
- Make sure communication is clear between teams on land and offshore.
- Help solve any problems or misunderstandings between groups involved in LNG operations.
Supporting Engineering & Operations
- Create and check technical documents related to marine operations to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
- Understand and explain technical concepts like the JT effect (how gases behave under pressure and temperature) and HMB (balancing heat and mass in LNG operations).
- Help develop the operational plan for the FSRU and terminal, making sure it works smoothly.
Creating Procedures & Manuals
- Write and update important operational documents like Terminal Information Manuals, operating procedures, maintenance schedules, and checklists.
- Make sure these documents are easy to follow and meet all safety and legal standards
Overseeing Commissioning
- Plan the start-up phase (called commissioning) for FSRUs, ensuring smooth collaboration between the onshore and offshore teams.
- Solve any problems during start-up to keep things safe and efficient.
Maintenance & Safety
- Oversee the maintenance of equipment used for transferring LNG between ships (known as hard arms).
- Make sure everyone understands how to safely use the Ship-to-Ship LNG transfer system (SSL) and its limitations.
- Ensure the FSRU and terminal are ready for daily operations by checking equipment and procedures.
Risk Management & Safety
- Identify any potential risks in operations and come up with ways to reduce them.
- Make sure all operations follow safety rules and industry standards.
- Run regular safety drills to keep the team prepared for emergencies.
