Business Need / Purpose of Role:

The OIM-Marine Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of offshore installations, managing the engineering aspects related to marine equipment and systems, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and management of the offshore project

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and operation of offshore installations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the engineering aspects of marine equipment and systems, including offshore structures, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and navigation systems.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to develop project plans, considering technical constraints and identifying potential risks.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
  • Lead emergency response efforts in critical situations, coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
  • Manage a team of marine engineers, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision.
  • Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to the offshore project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in offshore operations, preferably in the role of an OIM-Marine Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of marine equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety practices for offshore installations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging offshore environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technical tools for marine engineering.
