Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting for electrical, automation, and control systems on board vessels and in the workshop.
- Install electrical components, control panels, switches, sensors, transmitters, and engine wiring in accordance with technical drawings.
- Execute safety device testing and generator/engine load tests while recording precise operational parameter readings.
- Perform fault diagnosis and emergency repairs on marine engines, generators, and auxiliary power systems.
- Prepare detailed service reports for all technical work completed on board vessels.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to onboard engineers and vessel crew regarding electrical, electro-hydraulic, and electro-pneumatic system operations.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure spare parts availability and maintain strict safety and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- ITE / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in marine electrical maintenance or onboard vessel operations.
- Practical exposure to marine engine control systems, vessel automation, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to attend on-site vessel call-outs and work under tight schedule constraints.
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and team-oriented working style.
