Ichor is expanding and looking for a committed and proactive Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a team of Engineering Assistants to drive safe, efficient and high-quality manufacturing execution of gas and chemical delivery systems. This role will provide day-to-day leadership, manpower coordination, coaching and performance management while partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve production, quality, delivery and productivity goals. This role operates on a 12-hour rotating day/night shift and requires flexibility to support when required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of Engineering Assistants to achieve daily manufacturing targets and operational priorities.
- Drive day-to-day production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery and productivity objectives.
- Plan and deploy manpower effectively according to production schedules, workload and operational requirements.
- Monitor team and production performance, identify issues and drive timely corrective actions to minimise disruption.
- Coach, develop and performance-manage team members to build capability, accountability and a high-performing team.
- Ensure effective shift handovers, communication and escalation of critical production or people issues.
- Prioritise production activities based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, material availability and customer requirements.
- Partner closely with Planning, Program Management, Quality, Engineering and other functions to resolve operational issues and support on-time delivery.
- Support manpower, overtime and resource planning to meet production requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement, process discipline and effective use of data for performance tracking and reporting.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics & Smart Systems or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a semiconductor or manufacturing environment, with proven experience leading a team of 20-30 employees.
- Able to commit to a 12-hour rotating day/night shift, including weekends, and support when operationally required.
- Good people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, motivate and hold team members accountable.
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with the willingness to learn new software applications (Agile and Oracle) and use data analysis and reporting tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels.
- Committed and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, timeline-driven manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred.
