What a Manufacturing Program Management Localization Engineer does at HP:
- Coordinates activities of internal and outsourced manufacturing partners in support of the worldwide manufacture of a product from new product introduction through end of lifecycle.
- Collaborates internal, and outsourced manufacturing partners to recommend and implement localization requirements and end packaging process to improve quality and reduce cost
- Represents the Manufacturing program management localization team for all phases of larger and more- complex development and manufacturing projects.
- SKU BOM (Bill Of Material) management and creation.
- Drive sustainability initiatives to meet HP sustainability commitment and goals.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Bachelor's degree in, Manufacturing/ Materials/ Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- 0-2 years experience required.
- Power BI and dashboard reporting .
- Good to have knowledge in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Python.
- Using engineering tools and software packages to test, design, and evaluate products and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of material properties and hardware and manufacture.
- Ability to effectively communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
- Knowledge of smart manufacturing technologies and data analytics will be an added advantage.
