The Material Planner is responsible for managing master planning, material processes, and systems to ensure seamless production execution. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align supply and demand, optimize inventory, and drive process improvements that support on-time delivery and operational excellence.

As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing material planning processes, review and update build plan and production schedules, and align purchasing needs with KPIs. Own and drive material plans and schedules, ensuring MRP system accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of demand and supply principles and MRP logic to achieve production plans in line with delivery dates.
  • Reviewing MRP reports daily, firm and execute planned orders, and create purchase orders, in-house, and OSP work orders promptly.
  • Monitoring open work orders against target completion dates, resolving deviations and escalating critical issues.
  • Identifying available on-hand inventory or intercompany stock for current demand and work orders, including potential material substitutions with engineering.
  • Supporting inventory targets by addressing MRP exception messages and collaborating with inventory leader. Ensure unallocated materials are accounted for and managed effectively.
  • Joining weekly project meetings, production meetings, planning alignment meetings to review delivery progress, status updates, and required actions to meet schedules. Highlight pacing materials or risks that may impact schedules.
  • Working closely with sourcing, logistics, quality and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material delivery aligned with execution strategies, ready ahead of production schedules. Collaborate to facilitate defective items requiring rework, replacement, or scrap.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in engineering/supply chain management or related field
  • Have strong foundation in demand and supply planning, with a solid understanding of MRP logic.
  • Have experience (up to 3 years) in production scheduling, inventory management, and material planning systems.
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Have analytical mindset with the ability to resolve discrepancies and optimize processes.
  • Be detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Have experience preferably with Oracle MRP knowledge and, or APICS certification.
