Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on MES Engineer with strong manufacturing and shop-floor operations experience to support and enhance critical factory systems.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in MES configuration, support, troubleshooting, and production operations within semiconductor, electronics, or high-technology manufacturing environments. This role requires strong involvement in factory operations and MES systems, beyond vendor coordination or project management.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline;
- Must have minimum 2 years of hands-on MES experience;
- Strong experience in MES configuration, support, and troubleshooting;
- Good understanding of production, shop-floor, or fab operations;
- Working knowledge of Oracle SQL (basic to intermediate);
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or high-technology manufacturing environments;
- Exposure to MES platforms such as Camstar, Siemens SIMATIC IT / Opcenter, Apriso, SAP ME, TrackWise, or Werum PAS-X;
- Experience supporting live production or factory environments;
- Good exposure to sampling and RTD processes.
Desired Skill-set
- Exposure in Tibco (TIB / RV) or equivalent middleware is desirable;
- Must have familiarity with SECS / GEM (SEMI Equipment Communication Standard / Generic Equipment Model);
- Strong communication and documentation skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with manufacturing systems and equipment, bridging IT and shop-floor operations (OT);
- Provide MES operational support, including monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of MES models (products, routes, operations, and lot movements);
- Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 production support to ensure stable factory operations;
- Collaborate with IT OSS and CIM teams to maintain system availability and performance;
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance MES / CIM applications and components;
- Gather requirements, design solutions, and deploy new or enhanced MES/CIM applications;
- Document system requirements and coordinate enhancements within assigned functional areas;
- Conduct training for assigned MES/CIM applications;
- Partner with cross-functional teams on productivity improvement, cost reduction, and operational enhancement initiatives.
