As an Equipment/Production Engineer for Micron Fab10 Singapore, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing new tool installations, relocations, chamber retrofits to enhance equipment performance and drive continuous improvement program for your process area.
Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.
Responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing new tool installations, relocations, and chamber retrofits.
Own and develop equipment maintenance procedures and schedules
Work with the process owners to develop, prioritize and manage projects to reduce defects, improve availability and find solutions to ongoing problems and identify, quantify, and qualify cost reduction projects
Serve as the liaison between facilities, vendor reps, and shift personnel
Interact with process owners and tool vendors to develop new hardware, software, and technologies related to process and hardware performance improvements
Write and publish reports that summarize equipment availability improvements and cost reduction projects
All team members are required to complete their learning items within the stipulated time frame
For business process and/or Quality Management System (QMS) component that one is responsible or accountable for:
a) ensuring the QMS/business process that is effective and conforms to requirements
b) ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs
reporting on QMS/business process performance and opportunities for improvement to management
c) ensuring the promotion of internal and external customer focus throughout the organization
4) ensuring the maintenance of the integrity of the QMS/ business process when changes are planned and implemented
5) ensuring customer requirements are met
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required
Must be able and willing to work on non-standard working hours (e.g. compressed, 12-hour night shifts).

Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred

Maximizes yield by working on tools, the process, or wafer fabrication recipes. Troubleshoots wafer fabrication problems and performs root cause analysis. Works with other process areas to understand and control process deviations. Long-term investigation of defect issues may require extensive work with shift engineering and other functional areas. Evaluates products to ensure they meet the required design and performance specifications. Conducts research to assess process adjustment requirements and recommends process improvements or equipment changes needed to efficiently manufacture new product or part types.
