Manufacturing Engineering Director
Adecco is working with a global leader specialized in high-precision semiconductor capital equipment and solutions. The Singapore site plays a critical role in supporting product development, manufacturing engineering, and strategic program execution across the Asia-Pacific region.
The Role
As the Manufacturing Engineering Director, you will lead a high-performing team of engineers, driving New Product Introduction (NPI), process optimization, and cost-out initiatives across advanced manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring technical depth, operational rigor, and strategic vision to ensure products are launched on time, on budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading NPI programs from concept through production, ensuring smooth transfer and documentation for series manufacturing.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing methods, processes, and operational sequences for parts, sub-assemblies, and final products.
- Collaborating with Design, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to optimize production efficiency, yield, and cost.
- Estimating manufacturing costs, recommending tooling, and defining process requirements for new or existing product lines.
- Building and mentoring a high-performing engineering team, establishing governance, and fostering continuous improvement.
- Driving cross-functional alignment and stakeholder engagement to achieve business and operational objectives.
The Talent
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Microelectronics, or Chemical Process Technology
- Proven track record in manufacturing or high-precision engineering, ideally within semiconductor, automation, or advanced electronics environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and growing engineering teams, with an emphasis on sustainable performance and development.
- Strong technical foundation in manufacturing processes, NPI execution, and process optimization, with hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to take ownership of projects from concept to production.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of influencing and aligning stakeholders across functions.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-standards environment, balancing technical rigor with operational priorities.
