Manufacturing Engineer

ALG is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for one of our renowned aerospace clients based in the East of Singapore. This is a contract opportunity to support manufacturing engineering operations, including process improvement, tooling, and production support for aerospace programmes.

Job Summary

Provide technical support for manufacturing operations by developing and improving manufacturing processes, resolving technical issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish manufacturing procedures and proper documentation control.
• Build new Manufacturing Job Instruction Sheets(JIS), NC program, and Tool/Gauge plan with Siemens NX.
• Initiate productivity improvement activitiesincluding equipment/fixture selection, design and deployment.
• Resolve technical issues relating to internaland external customers feedback.
• Perform feasibility studies in the manufacturing capacity improvement, layout improvements and expansion.
• Initiate continuous improvement activities to existing manufacturing system and its related processes.
• Participate actively in company-wide productivity and quality programs.
• Put up justification for capital expenditure(CAPEX).

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience with Siemens NX or other CAD/CAM software.
• Knowledge and hands on experience of CNC machining processes and GD&T.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, precision machining, or a related manufacturing environment.
