Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the manufacturing design engineer responsible for all technical and quality matters related to PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Handle daily production escalations, providing strong technical support to the production team to identify root causes, resolve issues, and ensure production meets the planned shipment schedule.
  • Provide technical solutions to the Customer Support Engineering (CSE) team for any field escalations, supporting rapid issue resolution.
  • Disposition nonconforming products and work closely with PCBA suppliers to drive quality, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform failure analysis and deliver comprehensive reports to field support teams or customers implement corrective and preventive actions using a systematic, datadriven approach.
  • Collaborate with the material team on cost reduction initiatives, EOL component replacement, manufacturing site transfers, and any engineering support required.
  • Prepare and release Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) ensure proper implementation and communication across stakeholders.
  • Be accountable for supplier quality and outofbox yield (OOBQ) perform supplier audits on quality control and manufacturing processes when needed.
  • Support the design team on ICT (InCircuit Test) and functional test development. Understand test methodologies and provide guidance on product repair and troubleshooting. Transfer test solutions to PCBA suppliers and train their engineering teams.
  • Participate as the manufacturing representative in PCA design reviews, providing DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) feedback. Support the design team in preparing manufacturing documentation and driving new product release processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, with 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Positive mindset, strong willingness to learn, and openness to new technologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and take on challenging technical problems independently.
  • Strong planning, organizational skills, and discipline in meeting schedules.
  • Solid knowledge of highspeed digital circuits, FPGA, ADC/DAC, analog signal conditioning, noise filtering, signal integrity, and related electronic systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills able to resolve circuitlevel failures both on the bench and at system level.
  • Basic understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes and key quality control points.
  • Team player with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to travel up to 20% during NPI training, supplier engagement, and transfer activities.
