Job Summary
Manage comprehensive manufacturing accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting, cost control, and regulatory compliance for factory operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage full set of manufacturing accounts including production costing, raw material, work-in-progress, and finished-goods inventory valuation to ensure accurate financial tracking
- Analyze monthly manufacturing cost variances for material, labour, and production overhead to identify cost control opportunities
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and fixed-asset accounting for production machinery to maintain accurate records
- Prepare monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets for factory operations to support business decision-making
- Prepare and file Singapore GST returns in compliance with local accounting regulations to ensure regulatory adherence
- Conduct periodic stock counts and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to reconcile inventory discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities and provide supporting documents for external audits to ensure financial integrity
- Assist in budget preparation and implement cost control measures for manufacturing operations to optimize financial performance
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Good working knowledge of Singapore GST and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
- Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with ERP or accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or Xero
- Meticulous and responsible with the ability to meet tight month-end closing deadlines
