Job Description

Lead a Model Montessori Classroom

Design and maintain an inviting, safe, and orderly Montessori prepared environment.
Ensure constant supervision and safety of children, maintaining compliance with city-mandated teacher-to-child ratios.
Collaborate closely with Assistant Guide(s) to deliver a consistently high-quality Montessori learning experience.
Deliver Montessori lessons in a thoughtful, sequential manner aligned with Guidepost Montessori training standards.
Observe and document each child's development, strengths, and interests, using this insight to tailor support in accordance with Montessori principles.
Engage with children in a warm, respectful, and joyful way that nurtures independence and confidence.
Apply constructive feedback from fellow Lead Guides, your Montessori Mentor, and the Head of School to continuously enhance classroom practices.
Collaboratively address student challenges through teamwork with your Mentor, Head of School, and peers.
Welcome parents and staff into the classroom for tours and observations.
Creating an immersive Mandarin language environment as part of our pedagogical approach.

Deliver Excellent Parent Communication and Support

Maintain regular, personalized communication with parents using approved platforms (e.g., email, photo-sharing tools, newsletters).
Provide structured feedback on each child's progress through parent-teacher conferences, progress reports, and/or portfolio presentations.
Meet with parents individually to address concerns or support developmental goals.

Contribute to a Vibrant School Community

Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and ongoing professional development.
Support school community events including classroom celebrations, parent education sessions, and outreach activities.
