Managing Director - Private Equity Real Estate

Panthera Partners is partnered with a globally renowned Sovereign Wealth Fund to hire a Managing Director for their APAC Real Estate Investment team, based in Abu Dhabi.

One of the leading institutional investors, the fund has built an impressive and global portfolio of assets across real estate and other asset classes. The Managing Director will sit within the Real Estate team, providing senior leadership across the origination, execution and portfolio management of investments throughout Asia Pacific.

The new Managing Director will play a leading role in shaping investment strategy, driving deal origination and execution, and managing relationships with key stakeholders across the real estate ecosystem. This individual will work on some of the most prominent transactions across Asia Pacific while helping to further develop the team's investment capabilities and market presence. Covering key markets including Australia, India, Japan and Southeast Asia, the role will invest across a diverse range of sectors including logistics, residential, data centres and other alternative real estate strategies.

Interested candidates must:

• Be sitting in a Director, Managing Director, Partner, or equivalent position within a leading real estate private equity platform, sovereign wealth fund, pension fund or investment manager
• Possess a strong understanding of Asia Pacific real estate markets, with an established investment track record across origination, execution and portfolio management
• Demonstrate a proven ability to originate investment opportunities and build long-term relationships with developers, operating partners, management teams, advisors and co-investors across the region
• Have experience leading complex transactions across a variety of real estate sectors, including logistics, residential, data centres and alternative asset classes
• Have a strong network across the Asia Pacific real estate investment ecosystem
• Demonstrate strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess, structure and execute investments across a range of real estate strategies and capital structures
• Have experience investing through direct acquisitions, co-investments, joint ventures and platform investments
• Hold a mathematics, finance, economics, real estate, or related degree from a highly regarded institution
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at board and executive level
• Be comfortable operating in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
• Be motivated to relocate to Abu Dhabi
