The Managing Director acts as the chief architect of Kapaciti's commercial, operational, and financial engine. The primary mandate is to transition the company from a technology-first startup to the global standard for sovereign, efficient, and interconnected AI infrastructure.
1. Financial Stewardship & Capital Engine Strategy
- The MD is responsible for the company's Capital Engine performance, ensuring that compute resources are treated as high-velocity financial assets.
- Unit Economics Optimization: Own the P&L of the GPU infrastructure. Drive the Utilization Rate (Targeting 90% per the Kapaciti vision) by balancing demand-side load with supply-side availability.
- Financial Product Innovation: Lead the strategy for revenue-backed financing models. Design financing structures that lower the barrier for enterprise adoption while de-risking infrastructure deployment.
- Capital Allocation: Oversee the procurement and leasing cycle of GPU clusters, ensuring capital efficiency and minimizing idle time costs.
2. Global Operations & Sovereign Compliance
- Kapaciti's core differentiator is Local Control, Global Execution. The MD must operationalize this promise.
- Sovereign AI Governance: Establish and enforce the legal and technical frameworks required for cross-border data residency. Act as the primary liaison with regulators to ensure the Kapaciti Mesh remains compliant in key jurisdictions (e.g., EU, APAC, US).
- Orchestration Oversight: Manage the operational health of the Kapaciti Mesh. Ensure the Single Pane of Glass delivers on its reliability promise through automated failover and intelligent scheduling.
- Supply-Chain Resilience: Manage strategic relationships with data center providers, energy suppliers, and hardware vendors to ensure the long-term, predictable supply of compute.
3. Commercial Growth & Strategic Ecosystem
- The MD must secure enterprise dominance by positioning Kapaciti as the connective tissue of the AI industry.
- Tier-1 Enterprise Acquisition: Spearhead partnerships with hyperscalers, large-scale AI research labs, and government entities that require high-performance, private, or hybrid-cloud GPU infrastructure.
- Ecosystem Integration: Cultivate the Kapaciti Mesh ecosystem by driving adoption of the platform's APIs, ensuring that it becomes the default orchestration layer for distributed GPU clusters.
- Market Positioning: Refine the company's narrative from AI Infrastructure to AI Utility-the stable, predictable power grid for the AI age.
4. Organizational Leadership & Tech Alignment
- Technical-Commercial Bridge: Ensure that engineering roadmaps (latency reduction, scheduling efficiency) are directly linked to customer revenue and market demand.
- Talent & Culture: Foster a culture of Infrastructure First-prioritizing deep-tech engineering excellence and mission-critical reliability.
