Managing Director, Industry Research Department

Your responsibility is to manage the team with key roles & responsibilities include:

. Conducting industry and market research in the Southeast Asia, India and Oceania regions.

. Developing and presenting business and market entry strategies.

. Conducting research on areas such as business alliances, joint ventures and M&A according to client's requirements.

. Providing fee-based advisory services for predominantly Japanese customers, including market structure and participant research.

. Providing and sharing industry knowledge internally within the Mizuho group as well as writing and publishing external reports.

What you should have:

. Experience in organizational management.

. A Bachelor's Degree and at least 10 years of relevant work experience as a research analyst or consultant.

. Experience in advisory work with regards to M&A or joint venture is advantageous.

. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

. Strong interpersonal and business writing skills are attributes that will help the candidate perform successfully in this role.

. Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese will be required as the incumbent is expected to write, read & understand documents as well as respond &communicate in these two languages.

. Experience writing or supervising industrial analysis reports written in Japanese is required.

. Experience working in Japanese corporate banking environment is advantageous.

. Experience working in two areas among Japan, Southeast Asia, India and Oceania is required.

. Coverage banker experience in specific industries such as energy sector is advantageous.

. Strong understanding and affiliation to Japanese financial industry with relevant network will be advantageous.
